| 摘 要： | 进步指数可以较公平地评价被评价对象的英语学习进步程度，在应用进步指数时需要遵循以下四个原则：一是分组越细越好；二是缺失数据应慎重对待；三是被评价对象均应为首次参加四级考试的学生；四是特长生及语言类专业学生应该排除在分析之外。

| Abstract: | The progress index could be used to evaluate the degree of the improvement of English study.And the following rules should be followed while using this index: a) to split the population into smaller groups;b) to deal with the missing values seriously;c) to include the students taking the CET-4 for the first time only and d) to exclude both the students with special talents in science and technology,physical training,or arts and the students whose major is language such as English,Japanese,or Russia,and the like. |
