A Brief Analysis of the Turn of Social Word Use from Simplicity to Complexity in Current Society

Developing from complexity to simplicity is the general developing direction of Chinese words. However, in recent years, traditional word forms can be seen everywhere and their uses are on the rise. From different aspects this article explores and discusses the reasons why current words become traditional and puts forward that the historical developing tendency of Chinese words is from complexity to simplicity and it accords with the historical trend to simplify the words, which is expected to draw our attention.
