《中国文章分类学研究》序

纵观古代文章分类史，要建立科学的文体学，提出能反映我国文体实际又具有现代科学性的文体分类办法，既要对当前的文体发展情况有全面深入的了解，也要对国外文章分类方面的研究有比较全面的了解，同时还得弄清我国古代文章分类的发展过程和有关理论，对文体作分级划分，是一种可取的办法。由于我国文体分类问题比较复杂，除了分类学的一般原则之外，应考虑到以下几个方面第一，应将功用和表现方式结合起来；第二，应采用多级分类的办法；第三，要考虑到我国的文化传统，同时也必须要有现代性；第四，不能层次太多。分类太繁，不然不易掌握。

Preface to‘Classification Research of Chinese Writings’

To set up scientific classification for Chinese writings,a thorough understanding of the development of both Chinese and foreign classification of writings should be gained,and theory of ancient Chinese classification should be understood.One reasonable way is to grade them.As a complicated problem,except the principles the below aspects should be taken into consideration:1)combining function and form.2)using Multi-level grading.3)considering Chinese cultural tradition and modern characteristics.4)grading not be too complicated and be easy to operate.
