制度与转型:文献学视野下的汉代今古文经学之争

汉代今古文经学的对立主要是在学术方法上的,今文官学最本质的东西,是口耳相传的师说系统,但今文经在文本上多残缺,要对六艺有切实理解,最终必求之于文献的把握。所以刘歆在整理典籍的过程中,在解经立足点上,从师说转到了文献上来,从而引起了今古文的对立。在两汉今古文经学问题上,当时双方都不讨论文献真伪问题,而是学术立场,即对于文献的态度。从这个意义上说,古文经学是今文经学的发展,而不是两条线的对立。并由此可见后世所谓刘歆造伪及今古文对立的一些特点,是不符合历史实际的。
