关于商周青铜爵用途之说的检讨

关于商周青铜爵的用途,有饮酒、温酒(或兼饮酒)、滤酒等说.近来还有人认为爵是祭祀时"浇酒敬神"之用,并将其与商人的图腾崇拜相联系.文章对以上诸说逐一检讨,论其是非,尤其对"滤酒"和"图腾"二说予以详细评议.至于爵的可能的真实用途,另有<爵用新考>一文为述(载<中原文物>1998年3期).

Discussion about Views on the Use of the Bronze Jue of Shang and Zhou Dynasty

The Chinese bronze Jue of Shang and Zhou Dynasty is thought to b e used for drinking, or for heating the liquor, or for both, or for filtering th e liquor. A latest point of view holds that it was used to pour and sacrifice th e liquor to gods, and that gets it in touch with totemism of Shang people. This paper makes some reasonable comments on those arguments, especially on of 'filte ring liquor' and 'totemism' in detail. As for the possible use of Jue, it was al ready put forward in the author's another thesis: The Latest Research on the Use of Jue (in Cultural Relics of Central China, No.3, 1998).
