完美主义存在适应性和非适应性两个方面,可分为高标准、秩序、差异三个维度。分析表明,适应性完美主义是一种积极向上的个性,与自尊、社会支持、学习成绩和学术成就等呈正相关。非适应性完美主义是一种消极因素,与自尊和生活满意度呈负相关,与抑郁情绪呈正相关。

Perfectionism and Depression among College Students

The purpose of this study is to identify the correlates of college students'perfectionism,with a focus on the relationship between perfectionism and depression.First,we performed factor analyses on the Almost Perfect Scale (APS) and extracted three common factors:high standard order and discrepancy.The three factors were then categorized into adaptive perfectionism and maladaptive perfectionism.We used multiple regression analyses to examine the relationship between perfectionism and various correlates including depression.We studied APS,CES-D,SE,and MSPSS as well as several other demographic variables.The results suggested that adaptive perfectionism of college students is related to pro-social traits such as self-esteem,social support and academic achievement,while maladaptive perfectionism is correlated with high depression,low self-esteem and low satisfaction with life.
