| 摘 要： | 语言是交际的重要工具，随着社会的发展变化而不断变化的。英美民族的姓名结构形式作为英语的一种重要表现形式巩固并保护了英美社会的信仰、风俗习惯、社会历史。讨论英美人姓名的构成、含义及其形成“名 姓”结构形式的社会历史文化原因，有助于我们更深刘理解西方文化。

| Abstract: | Language is an important communicative tool and evolves together with the society where it is used.As a key representation of theeng lish language,the names of the British and American peoples solidify and preserve beliefs,customs,and histories if their societies.This article probes the names of the British and American peoples in respects of the name structure,the original meanings of the family name,and the major historical and cultural reasons why,in these societies,the name structure in question came into being. |
