| 摘 要： | 对泰国民主纪念碑的符号学分析表明：作为一个符号,民主纪念碑的指示性含义与其象征性含义是相互矛盾的。作为一种指示性符号,泰国政府通过民主纪念碑企图传达的意涵是：民主就意味着由专政护卫人民的权利。作为一种象征性符号,民主纪念碑则在某种程度上,成为泰国民主的守护神。二者的分裂,实际上也是泰国民主政治的问题与困境所在。

| Abstract: | The semiotic analysis of Thailand＇s Democracy Monument shows as a symbol the indicative meaning in contradiction with the symbolic meaning of the Democracy Monument.As an indicative sign,what the Thai government attempts to convey through the Democracy Monument is that democracy means protecting people＇s rights by the dictatorship.As a symbolic sign,Democracy Monument becomes the guardian of democracy in Thailand in some way.Actually,the split between them is also the problem and the dilemma where the democratic politics in Thailand lies. |
