A New Exploration of Aesthetics of Semiotics: with the focus on Cassirer and Langer

Ernst Cassirer is not a pure aesthete who specializes in the art study, but he makes enormous contributions to the “visual semiotics.” Susanne K.Langer is probably the most important female philosopher and aesthete. With personality of sensibility peculiar to women, Langer develops the interior structure of human beings from the reverse of the "purer than pure" reason. On the whole, what Langer explores are the aesthetic issues of expressivity and sensibility in the categores of artistic forms, artistic discourse and semiotic significances.
