An Analysis of the Slackness of Traditional Chinese Narrative Poems

Traditional Chinese classical narrative poems are not developed. They are full of passion, but often ignore coherent narration of events, development of plots and the depiction of character. Instead, they focuses on expression of passion. Therefore, they are different from typical poems of narration. This can only be attributed to the Chinese national character and cultural features shaped by farming economy. The innate slackness of narrative poems in ancient China can only be explored by studying the Chinese national characteristics, special ways of thinking, and the influence of classical Chinese poetry and its creation.
