A Study on Management Spaces, Service forms of Pleasure-Boat Industry and Its Changes in the South of the Yangtze River Area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties

Ships are important tools of Communication in Jiangnan region of rivers and lakes,while pleasure boats were im- portant carriers for development of service sector of tourism in the South of the Yangtze River Area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the management scope of Jiangnan's pleasure boats was broad and the categories of pleasure boats varied at different times and in different regions.With the progress of ages,the manufacture technique of pleasure b9ats also improved continuously.The adoption of new materials,modern styles is to attract tour- ists greatly.In addition to pushing forward development of related industries,the increase of employment opportunities, the development of pleasure boat industry could also satisfy people's recreational demands and promote business trade as well as improve people's life quality.In addition,positive and negative policies and measures of Jiangnan's local govern- ments in Ming and Qing Dynasties for pleasure boat industry and their effects which make us adopt more flexible attitudes towards tourism service sector.A deep probe into the traditional tourist resources in Jiangnan is of important reference value for the development of tourism industry in Jiangnan area as well as all over the country today.
