摘    要:在大学英语对学生的语言能力提出了更高要求的环境下,传统的、单一的、以教师为中心的语言学习模式被教师引导的、学生积极参与的课堂教学和课外机辅自主式学习的复合型学习模式所取代已成必然。这就要求教师在网络环境下,培养学生的元认知能力。

Abstract:When university students are required to acquire an even higher English language ability,it is evident that a compound teaching mode of teacher-facilitated,student-centered classroom work combined with computer-assisted spare-time autonomous learning will replace the traditional,single and teacher-centered instruction.In the light of modern education theory,the paper explains the contents of autonomous learning,its internal mechanism and the necessity to have autonomous learning.On the basis of some discussions on metacognitive strategies associated with improving autonomous learning ability,the paper puts forward some approaches to cultivate metacognitive ability under the circumstances of network.
