论社会科学理论与汉学研究之关系——兼论欧美社会科学论著中的中国意象及其问题

社会科学理论与汉学研究在研究内容上具有不可分割性,但在方法论上又有其紧张性。两者离则两伤,合则双美。两者间的紧张性,可以经由“互为主体性”关系的建立而被克服,使社会科学研究因为获得汉学研究的文化资源的挹注而日新又新,开发新的意义;而汉学研究,也因为从社会科学研究中获得启示,而不再是闭门孤芳自赏的学问,从而可以提出具有普世意义的新命题与新理论。

On relationship between Sinology and social sciences theory--an analysis of China's image and problems in works of social sciences by European and American authors

The relationship between Sinology and social sciences is both inseparable and tense. But the tense relationship can be overcome with the establishment of mutual subject relation between the two fields of research. Thus the research of social sciences can be refreshed with the cultural sources of Sinology while the research of Sinology can get enlightenment from social sciences to advance new topics and theories of universal meaning.
