| Abstract: | The outlook on life and death is a permanent topic to human beings, and Sima Qian and his Records of the Historian are no exception. In this paper,an explorative analysis is made of his outlook on life and death as refiected in his Records of the Historian. A brief discussion is made of the inheritance and development of Confucian and Taoist ideas as shown in Sima Qian's outlook on life and death and their influence on the subsequent generations. |
