| Abstract: | A Native Romance", "Random Notes of Travelling in Hunan", and "Xiangxi"constitute a Prose trilogy of Xiangxi."A Native Romance"may be regarded not only as a sink-and-float history of the native intellectuals of Xiangxi, but also as a rise-and-fall history of the Gan army of Xiangxi. It is a hope song of Xiangxi intellectuals who are striving to transcend their local historical fate as well as a summary of the author's life pursuit, character cultivation and self-examination. |
