Play as a Form of Organizing the Life and Activity of Children
Abstract:In kindergarten education, play has come to be regarded as an educational medium. Yet play as an educational medium has not yet been clearly defined. It is still not clear what it achieves and under what conditions it does so. If we compare all the recommendations regarding play as an instrument of education with play as it is carried on at kindergartens, it becomes obvious that it has not been properly developed or organized, that the teacher often has difficulty in planning the guidance of play and, what is most disturbing, children are often dissatisfied with their play activity.
