| 摘 要： | 本文论述了中国传统绘画、戏剧、书法及语言等各种文化现象的文化通的性：不求形似而求神似，详述了英语的形合传统对比下的汉语意合传统，并分析了这两种传统各自的优缺点，进而阐述了英汉语形合、意合特征指导下的翻译原则，最后还介绍了西风东渐给汉语意合特征带来的变化．

| Abstract: | This essay expounds the chinese cultural constant in such cultural phenomena astraditional painting, operatic performance, caligraphy and the language: pursuingconformity in spirit intead of conformity in form. Detailed elaboration is given to theparatactic tradition of Chinese as a contrast with the hypotactic tradition of English,with an analysis over their respective merits and defects. Stemming from these featuresas a guidance, related principles for translation are put forth. The essay winds up withan account of some changes in the Chinese paratactic tradition brought about by theeastward invasion of thewest culture. |
