| Abstract: | Far from the Madding Crowd is one of Hardy's early novels with the theme of love. Oak, the hero, loved sincerely Basciba, the hostess of a farm. He experienced the trials of puzzle and loss of love, tolerance and transcendence of love, but in face of difficulties and setbacks, he never yielded. The two persons who loved each other finally became family dependants. |
