Ge Baoquan:A Scholar in Comparative Literature

Ge Baoquan was not only a well-known translator in foreign literature in our country,but also a scholar in comparative literature with remarkable achievements.As a forerunner in studying the history of Sino-foreign literature relation,he had matter-of-fact attitude and rigorous scientific approaches.His achievements were embodied mainly in his book The Interrelation of Sino-foreign Literature,which emphasized textual researches so much that it could be regarded as a good example of corroboration of original evidence study.
