毛泽东:文艺政治学的创立

文艺政治学,应该说有着很深的历史渊源。文艺与政治的关系是联系在一起的,不存在一个绝对的、不可以逾越的鸿沟。无论任何时代,在政治生活中,没有文艺的渲染和鼓噪是不可想象的;同样,在文艺活动中,没有政治的介入和干预也是不可想象的。所以,所谓要求在文艺中"去政治化",完全是不现实的、虚伪的。毛泽东的文艺政治学的学术价值就在于回应了现实生活的需求,从活生生的现实中,而不是从纯粹的学理上对文艺与政治关系做了科学的系统的回答,创建了一门新的学科——文艺政治学,为它确立了基本的范畴、命题和研究方法。

Mao Zedong: Initiation of Politics of Literature

The politics of literature is historically deeply rooted. Literature is related to politics, and there is no unsurpassable gulf between them. In whatever times, it would be unimaginable if there were no clamor of literature in the political life. Likewise, it would be unimaginable if there were no political engagement and interference in the activities of literature. Therefore, it is unrealistic and hypocrite to depoliticize literature. The academic value of Mao Zedong’s politics of literature lies in its responses to the demands of realistic life. It offers a scientific and systematic answer to the relationship between literature and politics on the basis of the living realities rather than on the purely abstract principles. He established a new discipline---politics of literature and regulated its basic categories, propositions and research methods.
