齐国军事盛衰原因探析

齐国由初封时地处一隅的东方小国,到终太公一世成为大国,进而在春秋时首霸诸侯,战国时争雄天下,这与齐国有着强大的军事力量有关。而拥有强大军事力量的齐国为什么在五国伐齐时不堪一击?齐国为什么在秦国相继灭亡其它五国之时,竟然坐视不管,最终出现不战而亡的历史悲剧?齐国军事力量强盛的经验固然值得我们认真总结,齐国军事力量衰弱的教训更是发人深思。

A Probe of the Reasons for the Prosperity and Decline of Qi State's Military

Qi state developed from a very small country at the very beginning to a big one in the period of Emperor Zhong Taigong the first. Then in the spring and autumn period, Qi state won the supremacy a-mong the other feudal princes. And in the warring state period, Qi state fought for the control right over the whole country. All these were connected with its strong military forces. But why was Qi state defeated seriously in the fight with the other five countries? Why did Qi state do nothing when Qin state defeated the other countries and then suffer the historical tragedy of downfall without fighting? The experience of the strong military force of Qi state should be learned, but the lessons of the weakening military force of Qi state are more worth studying. So, this paper makes a discussion of this problem in the three aspects-the reasons for the prosperity of Qi's military force, the reasons for its decline and also its enlightenment.
