中国穆斯林人口发展分析

中国穆斯林人口已达2300多万,主要分布西北五省区。"一普"至"六普"57年间穆斯林人口增长近2倍,属高增长之列。穆斯林人口的特点是人口身体素质好,百岁老人比例高;而人口文化素质较低,职业构成较差,有待于改进。出生率高而死亡率较低,这与穆斯林人口年龄构成轻、老年人口比例小有关。穆斯林不溺弃女婴使人口性别比一直处于正常状态。随着人口增长率的下降,穆斯林人口的身体素质和文化素质将进一步得到改善。

An Analysis of the Development of Muslim Population in China

The Muslim population in China has reached 23 million, spread mainly in the five northwesternprovinces and autonomous regions. During the 57 years from the first national population census to the sixth one,the Muslim population was increased by nearly two - folded, a high growth rate indeed. The characteristics ofMuslim are good in physical condition, and high in proportion of centenarians ; yet, the people are low in educational level, and poor in occupational structure, which needs improvement. With high birth rate and low mortality rate, the young people take a large proportion of the whole population while the old a small one. As Muslim donot put an end to the life of girl babies, the sex ratio maintains at a normal proportion. With the decline in population growth, the physical and educational qualities of the Muslim will be improved further.
