扬州评话论纲

扬州评话继承宋元平话,造成清代评话繁荣,印证了鲁迅提出但长期无人论证的平民文学再兴现象;还在创作方面跨越"五四"前后,对文学史分野和分期很有研究价值。扬州评话小说主要包括市井小说、武侠小说、名著新编。其审美特点是平民色彩和阳刚精神,与当代大众文化一脉相承。扬州评话历史久,价值高,涉及众多学科,须要建立"扬州评话学",加强全面研究,争取申报非物质性人类文化遗产,保护整理,发扬光大。

Sketch of Yangzhou Pinghua

Yangzhou Pinghua (story-telling) took the heritage of that of the Song and Yuan Dynasties and made Pinghua of the Qing Dynasty flourishing. It conforms to the revive of the commoners literature put forward by Lu Xun without any verification for a long time. As far as literary creation is concerned, Yangzhou Pinghua, spanning before and after May 4th Movement, has great value to make researches. Those stories written in Yangzhou dialect include mainly the marketplace fiction, swordsman fiction and the new editions of some masterpieces. They are characterized by the colour of commonplace and the masculine spirit, coming down in one continuous line with modern masses literature. Yangzhou Pinghua has a long history and great value, and it is related to many branches of science. It should be treated as a branch of science so that we can protect it better and carry it forward.
