A Discussion on Self-growth of New Teachers During Probationary Period in Colleges

This paper interprets the number of new teachers in colleges of the whole nation based on the statiscs of 1999,analyzing the importance of probationary period to new teachers and the challenges which they have to confront.It puts forward the development of new teachers in probationary period largely depends on self-growth,pointing out that they can firstly confirm their research direction,breaking through the traditional method of "The old gives guidance to the new"and with the help of internet,partners,reflection and narration to develop rapidly.In the end,this paper discusses a topic which the new teachers have to face with : Taking part in the entrance exams for postgraduates? For Masters,Doctors or for the promotion of professional title?
