新城市主义对我国推进新型城镇化的启示价值

新城市主义是最近20年最具影响的城市设计思潮,它反对城市蔓延、主张回归传统城市形态,注重珍视环境、以人为本、因地制宜,有助于实现持续协调发展,这对优化城市规划特别对创新城市发展模式具有深远影响。新城市主义的理念和策略在不同空间尺度上对我国探索新型城镇化道路具有极大的启示意义。在城市群尺度方面,要促进区域之间的协调合作,妥善处理新区开发与旧城改造之间的关系,增进城市群凝聚力;在新城镇建设中,要遵循多功能、紧凑发展的原则,鼓励步行和公交系统建设,较高效率地创造宜居的城市空间;在新社区建设中,要塑造地方特色,并通过公共空间建设增进居民对社区和城市的归属感,从而促进城市文化的扩散和人的城镇化。

Valuable Reference of New Urbanism on the New Pattern Urbanization in China

New urbanism has been the most influential trend of urban design for over two decades. It opposes ur- ban sprawl, advocates a return to traditional urban morphology, and lays emphasis on the principles of environ- ment caring, people oriented and according to local conditions, which contributes to the sustainable and coordina- ted development. Therefore, new urbanism may have profound implications for both urban planning and the inno- vation of urban development pattern. A brief introduction to ideas and strategies of new urbanism, have valuable reference on the new pattern urbanization in China at different spatial scales. It holds to promote inter-regional co- operation and to coordinate the relationship between the old town rebuilding and new district developing may in- crease the cohesion of urban agglomerations ; to follow the principle of multifunction and compact development and to encourage walking and public transport systems may efficiently create livable urban space;to shape the local features and to enhance residents sense of belonging through the construction of public space may promote the spread of urban culture and human urbanization.
