摘    要:面子是中华人之一重要的文化——心理概念,它大体包含着情面和体面两层涵义,又分别对应着传统儒家文化中的内圣和外王两方面的内容,如行义和隆礼。就其产生的原因而论,面子是中国传统文化重人生理想、精神价值、道德境界深层文化——心理的一种反映。家族伦理型的传统心态文化和即伦理即宗教的内在超越性的道统传承是中华人,尤读书人面子观念凸显的主要原因。而"居仁由义"、节之以礼的中庸把握则又是面子观念发挥正、负社会功能的关键所在。

Abstract:Face is one of important culture features in China. It is a psychological concept; it generally contains two layers of meanings: feeling sensibilities and decent sensibilities. It also corresponds to the traditional Confucian culture, inside, the saint and outside, the King, such as righteousness and ceremony. In terms of its causes, face is a reflection of the psychological: an important ideal, spiritual value, deep state of moral culture to Chinese traditional scholars. The traditional ethical attitude of Ethical family culture that is inherent transcendence of religious orthodoxy heritage of Chinese people, and it is the main idea that scholars highlight face. The possession of benevolence and the ceremony is the key to play positive and negative social function of the concept of face.
