| Abstract: | "High cost, low efficiency" virtually depicts the embarrassing reality in the teaching of English vocabulary in China. The author explores into this phenomenon for the possible causes, and then points out that the key to improve vocabulary teaching is to realize "student-centeredness" in classroom teaching, give students insight into the nature of vocabulary learning, and help them to cultivate their own vocabulary learning strategies. |
