科技发展的界限探究——以道德与法律的关系为视角

科学技术作为一把双刃剑,既可以促进人类进步,也可能带来无尽的灾难,故科技发展必须接受社会规范的调整。但过度的调整可能会造成科技发展的萎缩,社会规范的调控只有既能确保科技造福社会又有利于科技自身的发展才为合理。道德和法律是两种最为基本的社会调整工具,道德的核心部分是伦理。科技发展作为一种创新,在特定情况下有必要超越某些不合理的道德;科技发展作为一种人类活动,必须遵守社会中的法律,但这并不充分,还应以伦理作为其终极行动准则。

Limits of science and technology:a discussion from the perspective of the relationship between morality and law

Science and technology,as a double-edged sword,can bring about both progresses and disasters;therefore,the development of science and technology must accept the adjustment of social norms.However,excessive adjustment may prevent healthy growth of science and technology.The regulation of social norms is reasonable only when it ensures that science and technology are beneficial to humanity while facilitating their own development.Morality and law are two fundamental tools of social adjustment,and the core part of morality is ethics.As an innovative force,scientific and technological development needs to go beyond certain unreasonable moral rules in some circumstances.As a human activity,scientific and technological development must comply with the laws in the society,but more importantly it needs to meet ethical standards.
