“形体单位”与“计量单位”之间并不矛盾，因为“形体”可以看作是“量”的一种存在形式，是一种“有形”的量；能有条件地接受形容词的修饰是“量词”与“类别词”的相同点而不是相异点，二者与名词进行组合时，都同样具有双向的选择性和制约性；“类别词”被认为是名词的语法性分类标志，只是因其经常与名词“陪伴”而产生的误解；无论从共时还是历时的角度看，个体量词都具有表量的性质。
