| Abstract: | This paper consists of three parts.The first part covers the relation between Pound and his own country,the U.S.A.,stressing how Pound's identities as a poet and as a citizen are at odds with each other.Part two is about the relation between Pound and Europe,mainly Britain and France,stressing that Pound is an imagist.The last part deals with the relation between Pound and China and Japan,focusing on Pound's selective tendency in drawing on the Far East. |
