日本古代森林资源的破坏与利用

日本是世界上少有的人口高密度国家之一，因而木材消费需求巨大。在日本林业发展的历程中，600—1670年，是日本上千年的森林采伐期。其中，600—850年，被称为日本古代森林掠夺性采伐期，也是日本千余年森林采伐史的开端。该文在简要介绍日本古代森林发展阶段的基础上，概括了日本古代森林掠夺性采伐期中，造成森林破坏的主要原因及森林采伐带来的后果，以求对我国的林业发展提供借鉴。

The Destruction and Utilization of Ancient Forest Resources in Japan

Japan is one of the rare nations in the world that are densely populated,so its timber consumption is very large.In the course of Japanese forestry development,the period between 600 A D and 1670 A D is the thousand-year-long deforestation period,and the period from 600 to 850 is further referred to as the period of predatory cutting of ancient forests and the beginning of the deforestation lasting for more than 1 000 years.Having briefly introduced the periods of Japanese ancient forestry development,the paper sums up the main reasons causing the great forest destruction and the consequences brought about by deforestation during the predatory cutting of ancient forests in Japan,hoping to draw lessons from it for the forestry development in China.
