| Abstract: | The Oriental Forum, has initiated a column "Dissemination of Oriental Learning",which has far- reaching significance in that it embodies not only an academic and ideological leap, but also a kind of cultural self - consciousness", thus inspiring our "national self- consciousness". From the historical perspective, the dissemination of Oriental learning experienced three climatic periods: the Han - Tang period, the Song - Ming period and the late -Ming - and - early - Qing period. Judging on this basis, a third wave of the dissemination of Oriental learning of a larger scale and farther - reaching significance is on its way. We, therefore, should examine and assess the dissemination of Western learning and that of Oriental learning with a liberal and rational mind. |
