| Abstract: | Zhang Ailing, with her particular life experience and personalized writing style, drew much nutrition from classical literature as well as blending elements of modem literature into her writings, which not only inherit the aristocrat temperament and interest of classical literature but also possess the civilian sense and standpoint of modem literature, therefore open up to the readers unique effect of literary tension. The discussion on the narrative tension of Zhang Ailing＇s novles will help to find another way for the reading and illumination of her writings. |
