On Zhang Dainian's Research on the Fundamental Features of Chinese Traditional Philosophy

In the modern Chinese history of philosophy,Mr.Zhang Dainian for the first time comprehensively elaborated the features of Chinese traditional philosophy,whose characteristics are the unification of ontology,epistemology and the morals, including: the unity of reality and phenomenon in ontology;the consistency between life and ideals;laying importance to life instead of knowledge;the tradition of combination of materialism and the dialectical views;and the profound influence of natural viewpoint on life and death and atheism in the development of philosophy.He also probed into the causes of the formation of the Chinese philosophical characteristics.
