Evolution of USA policy to Taiwan and its effect on China-America relationship

The Taiwan issue has long been influencing the China-America relationship. Over the past 50 years, the China-America relationship, especially the reunifying of China, was greatly influenced by the American policy toward Taiwan. As long as China is not unified, America will play the Taiwan card in the China-America relationship. From the strategic stand point, America has to admit that Taiwan is one part of China,but it will never readily abandon Taiwan .The Taiwan issue will remain to be an explosive issue in China-America relationship, which will rise and fall in the future.
