The unique characteristics of E.Pound and Lin Shu's translations contribute to the formation of"Pound/Lin Shu Phenomenon".The literary school of translation studies in the West is investigated to justify Pound and Lin as translators and their works as creative translations.The author proceeds to probe into their methods of translating and their respective influence.It is held that Both Pound and Lin have their unique translating methods and their translations have exerted great influence upon the development of literary history.Therefore,serious attempts should be made to investigate into the phenomenon and their secrets of translating for the sake of systematic and academic studies.
