摘    要:“五四”前后,中国文学观念发生了大的变革,这给当 时文学史的编写带来深刻影响。传统文学观念下编写的中国文学史大都非常博杂,近似国学 史。而二三十年代编写的文学史多持“纯文学”的观念,集中于真正的文学作品上,更能显 示文学的艺术特性,是很大的进步。但是矫枉过正,也存在着论述范围过狭的弊端。

Abstract:Round about the May 4th Movement (1919), Chinese lite rary idea changed greatly. It brought a profound effect on the compilation of li terary history. The Chinese literary histories compiled according to the traditi onal literary idea appeared very extensive and mixed, just like Chinese national cultural histories. Most of the literary histories compiled in the twenties and thirties were based on the idea of "pure literature" and were concentrated onthe genuine literary works that had more artistic characteristics of literature , which was a great progress. But because of its overcorrecting, there also exis ted defect of covering too narrow range of exposition.
