| Abstract: | Zeng Guofan felt shameful because of not knowing astronomy arithmetic and hoped his children to avenge for him.He asked mathematician Li Shanlan to his esteemed nome,supported him to print the translation of The Elements,thus trained his children and grandsons to love and study intensively science and technology,and his second son Jihong's four generations became mathmatics aristocratic family. |
