| Abstract: | The authors make a preliminary study on 11 pieces of "bow-shaped" or "crescent" adornments unearthed from the tombs of the Shang and Zhou dynasties in northern China and think that they were used as "plastrons" or "sautoirs" to show carriers' identity. |
