| Abstract: | The paper discusses the definition,the study domains,the main content and the conditions for the birth of Sociolinguistics as an intersecting and peripheral subject.Moreover,it also illustrates some influential schools that made their contributions to it,thus gives readers an overview and some general knowledge about the development of Sociolingustics at home and abroad.It is hoped that this article will contribute to the understanding and systematic study of Sociolinguistics. |
