The Feminist Consciousness of the Chinese Female Writers

Two prominent representations of the feminism consciousness of the Chinese female writers are "boudoir writing" and "writing the body". The former, being a traditional representation in the ancient China, is historically determined but does not necessarily abide by any set paradigms. Rather, originality and self-perfection are two features of this representation. The latter is an alternative representation being transplanted from the Western feminism. It exploits women's body to get access to and describe the world.
