Fostering the Clients'''' resilience by Strength Perspective: a New Practical Social Work Model

WThis paper discusses the possibility and basic skills of the social worker to search for and evaluate the clients' resilience in social work practice,including the ubiquity of the Clients' strength,defining resilience in multidimensional perspective,the interpretation of adversity in strength perspective,how the Clients show their resilience,how to prepare the question to make the Clients tell their resilience,how to respond to the Clients in strength perspective,how to record their strength and resilience,how to help the Clients to attain their goals in ecological perspective.The paper shows this model will help the social worker to build up new professional image different from the psychological doctor.Moreover,this perspective is very suitable for Chinese culture.Therefore,positive vocabulary like "strength","resilience" should be enforced in the field of social work to boycott the pathological terms which is popular now,thus leading the social work to a new direction.
