Exploring and analyzing Woolf's androgyny

Based on the thought of Woolf＇s ＂androgyny＂ that there are two kinds of forces （male and female） in everyone＇s mind to constrain,and the perfect spiritual statement of two forces integration is the ideal creation that the writers achieve,this article demonstrates how Woolf applies the idea of ＂androgyny＂ into ＂Orlando, Mrs. Dalloway＂ and many other work, which express her aspirations to pursue gender equality and gender harmony. In view of Woolf＇s limitations of ＂androgyny＂ the article re--interprets and expands it,it is proved that whether it is denied, or re--interpreted, ＂androgyny＂ has always been vibrant and has the practical and theoretical value to study.
