| Abstract: | At tuning PID controller, ultimate gain Ka and ultimate period Tu of the process are usually the desired parameters. To lessen disturbance of tuning action and avoid to drive the system to the verge of instability,a new estimating method of Kuand Tuis developed,which based on the charactristic areas of the unit step response of the process. By this method, it is easy for auto-tuning PID controller with Ziegler-Nichols like tuning formula. Results of digital simulation show that this method is effective. |
