英年早逝的庞统号称＂凤雏＂,虽然无论是在史传、戏曲还是小说中,他与＂卧龙＂孔明都无法并驾齐驱,但是,在庞统身上寄寓着其他重要的意义：一者他是作为诸葛亮在现实生活中的对比与古今谋士在文学作品中的参照物而存在的;二者他是蜀汉政权甚至是《三国演义》悲剧的一个组成部分;三者围绕他的描写可以理析出三国故事素材流变的一条脉络。
