1931年上海出版业劳资纠纷述略

20世纪30年代，上海出版业在世界性经济危机的影响下，在短期繁荣的背后，也出现了激烈的行业竞争和危机。出版业资本家为减少损失，大都企图把危机转嫁到工人阶级身上。经过五卅运动锻炼的上海出版印刷工人，在中国共产党的领导和影响下，纷纷组织起来同商务印书馆、中华书局、大东书局的资方展开罢工斗争。这些斗争由于种种原因未能取得完全的胜利，却进一步显示了工人阶级的力量。

Labour-Capital Dispute in Shanghai Publishing Enterprises in 1931

In the 1930s, influenced by the world-wide economic crisis, Shanghai publishing enterprises met with fierce competition and crisis after a short period of prosperity. The proprietors all tried to shift the burden of crisis upon the workers to mitigate their losses. Shanghai printing workers, however, under the leadership of the CCP, got organized and fought bravely back. Although their struggle failed in the end, it demonstrated the growing strength of the rising class.
