| Abstract: | This paper will, on the basis of historical documents, display the unique mental life of Hami people by describing their marriages, familial life, funerals, sacrifice, holidays and proverbs during 1882-1930 when the 9th Muslim king Shamhushot came to reign and died. Such an analysis will serve to underline what life is like in Xinjiang. |
