| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the discussion and research of the indirect statements with mixed tense sequences in American English.All the examples the authors use to support their thesis statement are taken from the authoritative American newspapers,magazines and books the authors have read.These authentic examples of the mixed tense sequences in the indirect statements in American English clearly show that such usages are not only correct but also are gradually widely used in American English. |
