“明道辅时”与“境生象外”——隋唐美学思想的转折与新变

随着社会政治、经济的一系列重大变化 ,隋唐历史步入了它的中后期。在现实社会发生转折这一特定的历史—文化语境的深刻影响下 ,唐代中期的学术思想和艺术审美也相应呈现出与前期极为不同的发展态势 ;而这一切无不浸染着士人们的审美意识 ,并渗透于作为时代审美精神集中体现的美学思想之中。尤其是在复兴儒学、儒佛相融等哲学、社会思潮的强烈冲击下 ,唐代中期美学思想发生了历史性的裂变和转化 :一方面 ,隋唐前期美学中所包含的以儒学思想为基础的审美观念、艺术理论 ,以新的历史形式再度兴起 ,产生了广泛深入的现实影响 ;另一方面 ,受佛学、道家思想 ,特别是盛、中唐之后趋向高潮并在士人中炽热流宕的禅宗思想的浸润 ,沉潜艺术审美独特意蕴、注重艺术自身审美特性以及阐扬艺术本体自性规律的美学思想也逐步趋于深化。这些方面 ,一并使唐代中后期的美学思想以其多维的内蕴和张力 ,直接影响到宋代审美意识和美学思想的形成。正是在这一意义上说 ,唐代中后期的美学思潮及其理论既是隋唐美学思想发展的转折与新变 ,又是宋代美学思想发展的滥觞和先声。

The academic thought and artistic aesthetics in the middle and late Tang Dynasty takes on a developing tendency quite different from that in the early peoriod. Moreover, the aesthetic trend and theory then are not only the turn and great change of the development of the aesthetic thought in the Sui_Tang Dynasty, but also the origin of the aesthetic thought in the Song Dynastuy.
