| 摘 要： | 认知语言学认为隐喻是一种认知活动,是通过语言表现出来的一种思维方式。空间隐喻是认知隐喻中的重要组成部分,是很多抽象概念构建的基础。汉语中表示空间的＂上＂和＂下＂与英语中相对应的＂up＂和＂down＂的隐喻拓展意义对比分析揭示了英汉两种语言空间隐喻在认知模式上的相似性。

| Abstract: | According to cognitive linguistics,metaphor is a cognitive activity and a way of thinking realized by language.Spatial metaphor is an important part of cognitive metaphor and the construction basis of many abstract concepts.Comparative analysis of the extended metaphorical meanings of ＂shang＂ and ＂xia＂ in Chinese and corresponding＂up＂and＂down＂in English shows the similarities of cognitive patterns between English and Chinese spatial metaphors. |
